We are having our next (rescheduled) Silk Dye Painters of Atlanta & Beyond meeting at the home studio of Agnes Oberth on July 23 Saturday in Acworth, GA. Agnes Oberth is a painter and fiber artist who has worked in needlework, art quilts, portrait painting, yarn and cotton dyeing and more. She currently works with silk dye painting and has been experimenting with various materials and techniques. She paints her "Daisy" series of a young woman in domestic settings highlighted with patterns on walls and floors, and her mood filled "Jazz Singer" series. Come see how Agnes works, and afterwards for those who are interested, we will sit down and add dye to our "mandala" flags for the Silk Painters International Festival conference in October at Arrowmont, in Gatlinburg, TN.
